The Challenge
The challenge for Ms. Peasha's Learning Corner (MPLC) was to create a brand that would stand out in a sea of online resources that are targeted at parents and teachers. We needed Ms. Peasha's resources to stand above the rest by developing quality visuals that children, parents and teachers actually wanted to look at on a daily basis. We also needed a brand that would spark excitement for learning and promote the kindness and inclusivity that Ms. Peasha stands for.
Ms. Peasha's Learning Corner is a digital resource library, lovingly created by Lisa Silva (M.Ed). After working as a special education teacher for several years, Lisa knew she could better serve students by creating supplemental aides for use at home with their parents. She also wanted to reach a broader audience of parents and educators who could benefit from her years of experience teaching special needs children. These were the concepts that sparked Ms. Peasha's Learning Corner. (The name originated early in Ms. Lisa's career when a student couldn't quite pronounce her name. She has been known by her close friends as "Ms. Peasha" ever since.)

Logo System: Primary and Alternate Marks
Ms. Peasha's Primary Logo is made up of hand drawn icons as well as hand-drawn script to create the sweet and engaging mark you see here. The flowers growing out of an open book are symbols of the growth that children experience when using Ms. Peasha's resources.
The open version of Ms. Peasha's logo removes the arch that enclosed the primary logo. This mark is obviously very similar to the primary logo but gives variety to the logo suite. It also lends it's self well to being enclosed inside another shape (such as a square for social media photos).

The icon is an even more simplified design that is still identifiable standing alone. This mark is best for use across all social media platforms.
We continue to develop custom Illustrations for Ms. Peasha's digital resource library. These illustrations are eye-catching and universally understood for use with special needs children. We take extra care to make these illustrations fun and original so they stand out from typical clip-art graphics seen on most teaching resources.
